Every student deserves access to the kind of guidance that has traditionally been available only to a privileged few. That belief is why GB Global Education exists.

We are not a large agency. We are a small, expert team and we know every student we work with by name. From the first conversation to the day an offer is accepted, the same people are involved throughout.

A strong university application is not built in the final year of school. It is built in Year 9 or 10, through the right subject choices, purposeful experiences, and an academic profile that tells a coherent story. The earlier we begin working together, the wider the range of options we can open for you.

Banu Altinel

Banu Altinel

Co-Founder & CEO

Banu brings an unusual combination to education consultancy: over two decades of senior experience in international finance, and the firsthand perspective of a parent who navigated the Dutch and international school systems herself.

Her professional career was built in banking, with roles spanning the Netherlands and the Middle East. What she carried from that career into education consultancy is not incidental. The ability to assess complex situations quickly, ask the right questions, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly across cultures. These are the skills that make the difference between generic advice and genuinely useful guidance.

Over the last five years, Banu has guided students from across the world into universities in the Netherlands and Spain, working closely with each family from the very first conversation through to enrolment. Her approach is personal by design: every student she works with has direct access to her, not a junior advisor or an automated system.

Banu founded GB Global Education after raising two children through the Dutch and international education systems and recognising a gap that most families never know exists: the difference between navigating university applications alone and having someone in your corner who genuinely knows the system. Her goal was straightforward; to make that level of support available to every student, regardless of background.
